About Us

Educational center Cvetic was established in 2004. Together with children we grew and developed and became a genuine daycare center fit for children’ and parents' needs.

Cvetic is located in a beautiful house in Cvijiceva street. On the ground floor there are rooms for older educational groups and preschoolers. The first floor is reserved for younger and very young educational groups.

Children are taken care of daily by educators, nurses and a pedagogue.

Pediatric exam is provided every fifteen days, while the children's dentist exam occurs twice a year.

A psychologist and a speech therapist are our professional associates who follow children’s development and progress and are included in our work when needed. For a healthy and proper development of children it is very important to take note of any irregularities and deficiencies in time. In collaboration with their families, a psychologist and a speech therapist deal with the problems of children’s early development very successfully.

Who Works at "Cvetic"?

Danijela Djurovic

Born in Niš in 1972. Like all the children of that time who did not have grandparents to take care of them, she went to a kindergarten. She was very interested in deciphering  natural occurrences, in all possible books and she learned to read at a very young age. Her kindergarten teachers took advantage of her interests in a strange way: She was given "Zeka" and "Tik-Tak" (children’s magazines) to read to other children from kindergarten and was asked to take care of them while the teachers were on a break! The first major problem she met with in her kindergarten was that, even though she did not want to sleep, she had to lie down in bed and keep her eyes closed for what seemed like eternity! Another HUGE problem occurred when her teacher tasked her to use 5 sticks (Do you even remember sticks and round chips?) to make a figure of a man. Out of 5 sticks? Out of 5 sticks??? "I need one round chip," she begged the teacher, but she never got one. "You do not need a chip, only 5 sticks" was the reply. When the girl finally gave up, tired of trying and absolutely disappointed, the teacher approached her triumphantly and made a "man" out of 5 sticks. It looked like this:

"And the head?" Asked the girl. "You don’t need the head" was the reply.

At that moment she decided that somewhere there must be a kindergarten where children don’t take care of other children while teachers are drinking coffee, where if someone does not want to sleep can do something fun and where the teachers know that every man needs a head!

She finished elementary school as a consistently excellent student, but at the very end the expected recognition escaped her because she was not "a child of blue-collar working parents." She realized that there was a need for a school in which students would be evaluated by who THEY were, and not by who their parents were, or in her case, were not! She also realized that the child should not be punished because its parents graduated from college.

She finished Grammar school as an eternal class president and a fighter for student’s rights.

She gained higher education in Nis.

In 2004 she set up "Cvetic" daycare center so that her, as well as the other children, would have a healthy and happy place to grow up in. All her love of child psychology she complemented with a number of seminars and trainings, and in 2006, after passing the necessary tests, she became a member of Serbian Mensa. Soon after she became a close associate of Dr. Ranko Rajović and began the implementation of NTC learning system in "Cvetic". She carefully selected her staff, hard-working, smart and ambitious young women who would transfer their knowledge to children in the best way possible. "The educator educates by what he is" is one of the main guidelines of Montessori method, and the principle all the personnel employed in "Cvetic" adhere to.

Now, after 9 years, she is pleased with her work and always has new ideas for the next month or year.
